Reception have been working hard to earn house points....but what are house points earned for and why are they important?
We thought this was most effectively answered by the Weston Green House captains themselves and so last week Reception children had their first "House meeting" with peers and captains.
Children had the opportunity to ask questions and deepen their understanding of what it means to be part of a house team. The captains finshed off the session by asking Reception pupils what they might do to earn points for their team. Here are some of the responses:
"If you be kind." Oliver B
"Help people." Catherine
"If you tidy up."Max
"Letting people through the door." Ethan
"You can say sorry." Harry W
"If somebody falls over you can help them get up." Harry C
" Be super-duper good!"Diggory
