Starting something new is always exciting and last term saw the first ever edition of ‘The Weston Times’ by Weston Green School’s Able, Gifted and Talented group. Children from years 1-6 have been working hard each week to write reports, take pictures and gather information about topics of interest to them. They have all thoroughly enjoyed creating interesting and engaging pieces to share with their peers and have tried to vary the topics covered each week, whilst still concentrating on their specific areas of strength. This term brings a new challenge for this group of children as they will start to use the schools new Virtual Learning Platform to share their knowledge and interests in different subjects. They will be looking to create informative pages that can aid revision for their peers as well as challenge others to answer quizzes they make. This is an exciting time for all the children and something that will continue to develop and stretch their learning.
