This week Year 1 had an interesting and extremely exciting delivery. On arriving in school on Tuesday morning, they discovered that 1W had been covered in fairy lights and snowflakes and there was a letter addressed to them. Once everyone was together, the children eagerly opened the letter to find that Father Christmas himself had delivered a present to congratulate them on all their hard work they have been doing this term. He explained that as he could not find a Christmas tree, he had left the gift hidden in the library. With excitement levels heightening, the children searched the library to find a beautiful book called ‘Snow Bunny’s Christmas Wish’ that had been left for them in a special bag. Year 1 read the story together and have now been creating beautiful artwork based on the book as well as writing book reviews and making storyboards. We are hoping that next week the children take inspiration from this Christmas story to help them write their own enchanting Christmas tales.
