Our reception classes had their own special French experience recently with an exciting visit from a French speaking adventurer who loves telling stories. The children took part in a Story Hunt workshop which introduced and practised lots of French words and took them on an imaginary journey to Paris. The children re-enacted the adventure finding objects and using props on the way. Picnic foods, numbers and greetings were among the topics practised by the children. A colourful, fluffy puppet, ‘Big Bird’, songs and movement all kept the children engaged and intrigued by what would happen next. Reception children are developing lovely French accents and are building great foundations in their language learning. Bravo les enfants!
