Former BBC producer Nick Handel recently ran an exciting creative writing workshop for KS2 pupils. He then visited each classroom as the children used his ideas to inspire their writing.
Following this, Year 6 then worked with the children in Year 1 and Year 2 to pass on some tips to help them structure their stories and make them interesting to read.
Last week Nick Handel returned to school so Year 6 could tell him what they had been doing. He brought with him a photographer from the Surrey Advertiser and Year 6 were lucky enough to find a photo of themselves in Friday’s Elmbridge edition of the newspaper, accompanying a piece about Nick’ s work.
