With Nativity rehearsals well underway, the Reception classes are already in a festive mood and preparing for Christmas. The theme coincides with our mathematics focus of the week 3D shapes, so what better way to learn kinaesthetically than to design our own wrapping paper and wrap Christmas presents in cube and cuboid shaped boxes. Some other popular activities have included constructing a stable for the small world characters featured in the Christmas story and of course creating holiday daisy chains to decorate our classrooms
