Year 5 have been trying out their newly learnt Latin for various parts of the body by role playing a visit to the surgery. They took it in turns to be the doctor and patient and described where they were in pain. Using phrases such as dorsum mihi dolet (my back hurts) and dentes mihi dolet (my teeth hurt) they not only had some fun but learnt a bit about the etymology of some English words (dorsal fins are on a shark's back, a dentist looks after your teeth).
