In between preparing for exams and interviews, Year 6 has been very busy debating and discussing the forthcoming American Election. As part of their 11+ preparation, the class is used to having informal discussions on current affairs but the fervour surrounding the Trump v Clinton election has certainly dominated many of these sessions!
The children have impressed, not just by their understanding of the key issues being debated, but their ability to agree and disagree on these with confidence.
At the time of writing, the result has not yet been decided but we know that everyone - not just in Year 6 – is awaiting the result with anticipation….
