Reception classes are currently learning about “People who help us”. As part of this topic, our local fire service visited us on Friday 13th March. The children learned about fire safety, the importance of protective clothing worn by firemen and the special breathing apparatus used by fire fighters to keep them safe whilst fighting fires. We had the opportunity to see the special equipment which fire engines carry and the children even got to climb inside the fire engine and pretend to be the driver!
