EYFS Sports Day

EYFS Sports Day

The Weston Green School EYFS Sports Day went ahead this week, despite unsavoury weather reports after one of the hottest weeks we have experienced this year.

Children competed in groups named after sea creatures which ties in with our current topic Under the Sea. Everyone in the Kindergarten and Reception classes ran various races including fishing race, bean bag balance and hurtles.  The finale was the Reception relay race; pupils well represented Fairmile, Littleworth, Arbrook and Ditton by wearing their house colours as the children from the main school and parents watched and cheered them on.

This morning marked Alan Dowson’s final EYFS Sports Day and we would all like to thank him from the bottom of hearts for his tireless energy, enthusiasm and inspiration to students and staff alike.

He will be greatly missed and we wish him every success as he pursues his new role as full time manager at Hampton and Richmond Football Borough Club.
