The Food Committee has had a tremendous first term, and they have represented the views of the school well in the monthly meetings. For example, their push on improving manners and eating habits in the dining-hall has given the school a gentle reminder that the Golden Rules need to be followed everywhere.
They have also enjoyed tastings (courtesy of Mrs Symons), discussed different foods and debated the results of the term’s food survey which will result in a change in some of the meat-free options next term. In addition, Fisherman Fin has become a new fixture to encourage us all (staff included!) to try a variety of fish as we know it is good for us.
A special thanks must go to Mrs Symons and Mrs Powell who have supported the committee at every meeting and help us look at ideas from a parent’s point of view. In addition, well done to our new chef Matt for looking after us so well in Courtney’s absence.
Have a very Merry ‘Food-Filled’ Christmas!
