Posted on: 26 Feb 2016 by Weston Green School
We've been having fun with fractions this week in Year 2. Following our class lessons earlier in the week when the children were introduced to simple fractions and mixed fractions, we ended our week with a carousel of activities. The children rotated through activities which included building fraction flags on the computer, making fraction walls out of paper strips and working out fractions to create fruity cocktail recipes making sure they had an equal amount of each juice and calculating what that amount had to be. The children proved that fractions can be deliciously fun!
