We held our annual Grandparents’ Day last week and welcomed over 70 grandparents of children from Kindergarten up to Year 6 into the school.
The children look forward to this event with great anticipation and it is so lovely to watch them taking their grandparents on a tour of the school and showing them their work and the things they enjoy doing.
We appreciate how much grandparents invest in their grandchildren (in terms of time, not just financially!) and so it is wonderful to be able to share an afternoon with them so they can see how the school operates.
After working hard listening to their grandchildren and showing great interest in everything they were shown, the grandparents were able to enjoy some well-earned tea and cake while the KS2 choir sang for them.
Many thanks to all those grandparents who attended, particularly to those who ‘adopted’ a child who did not have grandparents able to come – it was a magical afternoon.
