Today Kindergarten enjoyed a visit from the Hobgoblin Theatre Company and sat entranced as they performed the classic fairy tale of ‘Hansel and Gretel’ by the Brothers Grimm. The stepmother was very scary and the witch was even worse. The children were very brave and were pleased when Hansel and Gretel escaped her clutches; although the witch came looking for some other children to eat! However in true fairy story style good always conquers evil, with Hansel and Gretel defeating the witch and returning to their father, laden with gold.
