Year 5 have worked incredibly hard during their unit on 'Greek myths', particularly in recent lessons where they have had to research, plan and write their own myths. The children were inspired by myths such as 'Arachne the Spinner' and King Midas', in order to produce their own myth which had to have within it, an important lesson to be learnt. Although their ideas were very important, it was the composition that Mrs Earp asked for an extra focus on, therefore they had to include examples of powerful language and various devices such as repetition and adverbial phrases to bring their myths to life. In order to see if their myths were powerful and engaging, they had to perform their work to the rest of the class.
