As part of their science topic on 'Forces in Motion', year 6 were given the task of investigating air resistance through the creation of a parachute for a Lego man (or woman!). There were lots of higher-order thinking skills on show in class, as the children had to analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of their parachute by varying their choice of material. The winner of the final challenge would be the one who could keep their 'Lego person' in the air for the longest. As you will see from the photos and if you look carefully in the video, the class tried all kinds of tricks to ensure that they would be the eventual winner! Luckily, year 1 and Mr Harrison were on hand to judge the final contest.
