This week saw Year 6 participate in another fiercely competitive football match against Denmead School. However, the excitement was heightened by the fact that Hampton and Richmond Football Club offered to host the match on their new floodlit pitch! The tense game between Weston Green and Denmead was a prelude to Hampton and Richmond's Cup fixture against Lewes on Tuesday evening, and although the senior players were focused on the job they had to do, they took time out to train the boys from both schools and offer some pearls of wisdom. Although Denmead won 3-1, Weston Green's players had the honour of being mascots the home side.
A huge thank you to the Chairman of HRFC and Mr Dowson for organising such an enjoyable and unique event.
