New Year, New Start!

New Year, New Start!

2014 is gone, 2015 is here. Long live 2015! It has been a busy start to the term, with Ella joining the class and already settling in with joy and enthusiasm.

Year 3 decided to look back at last term’s personal targets to see if we had completed any of the three we had set for ourselves. The work ethic in the class had been high over the term and almost every child had been able to tick off all three of their targets.

But, with 2015 it was time to start over again, setting our New Year’s resolutions. This proved harder than we first thought. We wanted it to be attainable, and measurable. Mr Morgan also wanted one for home and one for school, just to make it even harder.  Needless to say, the amount of times children said they would be ‘checking their work’ and ‘not calling out’ meant that they already knew what areas they needed to improve upon at school.  However, it was the resolutions for home that really caught Mr Morgan’s attention, including: tidying bedrooms, being nicer to brothers and sisters and even one saying they would help to cook dinner.

It has been a positive start to the term and Mr Morgan hopes that these Resolutions continue longer than just in January.
