The spring sunshine shone down on year 2 as they enjoyed a day exploring the abundance of nature within the beautiful surroundings of Painshill Park. They explored and discovered what lives in the park’s large lake and honed their pond dipping skills as they searched for evidence of life. Back at the education centre they were shown what some of this water life looked like close up thanks to a fantastic microscope. After a hearty lunch, not to mention a rest, the children explored the park for seeds and learnt what conditions plants need to grow. They also admired one of the great views that Painshill Park has to offer. What a great day of exploring and discovering it was for all the children!
