Year 5 have been very busy preparing their poems for Thursday's poetry competition. This morning they took it in turns to recite them to Mrs Hawkins and Mrs Clarke, who now have the uneviable job of choosing the three finalists. All the children's poems were on the theme of woodland animals, to help the children really get to know the characters who make up Weston Green's magnificient seven learner profiles.
Every pupil had made a good job of learning their poems and we are now all looking forward to Thursday's exciting final.
