There is no doubt that the chemistry has changed around the earlyyears building this week. The levels of excitement began to increase when they participated in a whole school assembly on Monday morning and met scientist Boffin Lou who shared some awe inspiring chemstry demonstartions.
This morning pupils had the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun and engaging science activities. Some favourites included exploring an outdoor light box with sound and touch sensored lights, comparing the densitiesof liquids by making a lava lamp, using a hair dryer to balance a ping-pong balls in mid air and learning about how a flame is dependent on oxygen to stay alight. The finale was the balloon rocket experiment where a balloon was accelerated by force along a piece of string which is the perfect way to begin our new topic on Space!!
