On Friday, year 3 were given an opportunity to show off their cricket and athletic skills in a cricket match and an athletics meeting against The Study. The boys were to play the cricket and girls to compete in the athletics. The children, as I am sure you can imagine, were excited and confident about the fixtures.
In the cricket, the boys worked hard, chased the ball down, stopping those all-important boundaries and batted with a positive attitude. The girls ran their hearts out, ensuring that they gave their all with Connie demonstrating a great competitiveness in her events. These fixtures are a great opportunity for the children to test themselves against other schools and it helps to highlight the areas of improvement needed, and also their strengths. A fantastic afternoon for all in Year 3.
