In Design and Technology, Year 3 have been designing their own sandwiches. This was a perfect opportunity to involve our science topic of healthy food and eating. The children first had to design their own sandwich, making sure that the instructions they wrote were clear and simple, then came the creating. The children had a choice of fillings and condiments to make their sandwiches. Whilst creating their sandwiches the children had to explain what was healthy about their sandwich and decide whether or not it was part of a balanced diet. The children then had the chance to try each others as well as their own. Needless to say, the children had great fun as shown by the photos.
