A very excited group of Key Stage 2 children gathered on a wet and windy morning last week to set off for the ISA Regional Athletics competition. The conditions did not lend themselves well to track and field events but this did not deter any of the children who were more than eager to do Weston Green proud. And they did just that. Not only did they compete competitively in all of their events, they never let the smiles fade from their faces. They encouraged each other all day and helped to prepare one another for their races, getting each other through to some of the finals. It was a pleasure to see how well they worked together as a Weston Green team and this undoubtedly helped to spur on our new regional champion Joe in the 60m final who will now have the chance to take part in the ISA National competition next week. We wish him luck for his event and would like to congratulate all children on their performance during ISA Regional competition. They should be extremely proud of the way they represented Weston Green, I know we are very proud of them.
