The British Isles topic is always one that engages our year 1 children, especially when we learn about the extinct volcano Arthur’s Seat. This leads us to look at how volcanoes are formed, why they erupt and what the different parts of a volcano are. This week the children had the chance to make their own volcanoes and erupt them during their ‘Live Volcano Show’. With year 4 eagerly awaiting the eruption, the children headed outside to create the ‘Ring of Fire’. Click here and have a look at the videos to see their excited faces!
