Years 3 and 4 had a wonderful opportunity to do a drama workshop with Ex Eastenders actress and I'm a Celebrity winner Charlie Brooks. Charlie Brooks has joined forces with award-winning stage school Director Mark Jermin to open the inspirational performing arts school which is located at Thames Ditton Junior School, Mercer Close, Thames Ditton, Surrey. As a little taster, Charlie worked with the children to develop skills in voice, movement and expressions. Why not take a look at what the children got up to. http://www.westongreenschool.org.uk/school-life/photo-gallery/when-east-met-west. Charlie is hopeing to return to Weston Green to offer another workshop with year 5 and 6 sometime within the second half of the Spring Term.
If you are interestested in doing more acting outside of school, Charlie runs two classes every Saturday, including a junior class for ages 4 –7 years from 10.00am until 11.00am and a main stage school for ages 8 – 18 years from 11.00am until 2.00pm. The classes span acting, dancing and singing and the school has an extensive track record of students winning parts in stage, screen and television productions. Budding performers are invited to come along for a free trial session at any time. For further information about the stage school, its locations, times and prices and to register to join the school, visit www.markjermin.co.uk.
