Posted on: 24 Nov 2016 by Weston Green School | Category: Key Stage 2, Year 5, Year 6
With a final term record of played six, won five, the Y5 & 6 A netball team can be very proud of their achievements and overall improvement this term. The A team has been made up of the Year 6 girls (on merit) and with a combination of improved determination and more confidence they have become a very exciting team to watch. The attacking three of Evie, Isabelle and Lily have devastated defences with their quick passing and movement. Ashani, Alice and Anaya have been the engine room who have turned defence into attack. Holly and Lacksha have created a wall of defence which has made the team very difficult to score against.
The B team have made extremely pleasing progress and all bodes well for their Year 6 season. Each and every player has improved their speed of passing, movement and catching. With greater knowledge of defensive play, all seven Year 5 girls have the potential to make next year even better than this year.
Netball will be extended this year as the girls' A team will be competing in the London South ISA Netball Tournament next term. This will be of a high standard so our girls will be very keen to show off their ever improving skills.
A brilliant tterm girls – well played!
