Year 1 Will Remember Them

Year 1 Will Remember Them

With Remembrance Day approaching, all the children in year 1 have been learning about why we have this day to remember all those who died in wars and how the poppy is the symbol we all wear to help us remember.

We have combined our RE and Art lessons to allow the children to share thoughts on Remembrance Day, what it means and how long we have celebrated it and also use collage techniques to create their own individual poppy, which are currently on display in the classroom.

Why not click the link to see what they have been up to.
