Year 3 are a handful at hockey

Posted on: 02 Feb 2015 by Weston Green School | Category: Key Stage 2, Year 3

After much effort and copious training sessions, the time had finally come. Year 3 were to play their first competitive match against The Study. The buzz amongst the children was contagious with them all making predictions on the score in each match.

The children played well, demonstrating solid techniques and winning two of the three games. It was obvious the children enjoyed themselves as demonstrated by the smiles on all of their faces, even if Mr Hudson blew his whistle just before Amelie was about to score.

Stand-out performers of the match would be too hard to name, such was the effort shown by all, though special mention must go to the goal scorers Sean and Owen. The target now is to make sure the children continue to listen and work hard in preparation for their next match.
