Year 4 has been using the website Code.org which allows pupil to explore the concepts of computing programming. Pupils learn to create interactive games, stories and art that they can share. This is all done in Code.org's drag and drop online learning platform.
Learning to code is an important skill now we’re living in a digital age. It’s not just enough for children to know how to use technology. They should know how it works and how to build it too. Learning to code strengthens problem solving and logical thinking skills, and is useful for a range of other disciplines, careers and hobbies.
Joseph said: “Coding involves making games. It is fun because you are learning at the same time.” Evie added:“Coding helps me with problem solving and doing things in steps."
