It was a stormy start to the week for year 5, and not just because dark clouds were massing in the skies over Weston Green on Monday morning. The children in KS2 were lucky enough to mark the 500th anniversary of Shakespeare's death with a workshop based on the play The Tempest. Now that the children are used to weekly drama sessions with Mr Godwin they rose with ease to the challenge of a Shakespeare workshop and delighted in the opportunity to act out small scenes which helped them get to grips with the story.
