A new year often brings new things and in year 5 this is certainly true. William, Joe and Faren have all joined the class and are settling in extremely well. They had already visited in the autumn, and joined us at SHC for games, so their enthusiasm to get stuck in was no surprise to Mrs Hawkins.
As well as making an excellent academic start they have quickly starting to bond with the rest of the class and it’s hard to believe they have only been with us a matter of days. When asked about their new start the boys said that they were very happy. “Everyone’s very friendly and the sport is great!” said Joe. Faren is thoroughly enjoying the astro turf and William added that it was easy to settle in and make friends when the classes were so small.
It’s been good too for year 5 to put into practice the “top tips for friendship” that they had worked on towards the end of the autumn term in PSHE, and now the “new and improved” 5H are eagerly looking ahead to the rest of an exciting year - including their trip to France with year 6.
