Christmas has come early for the year 6s this term. They spent the first part of this half term investigating electrical circuits. They have learnt how to build circuits with multiple components including bulbs, switches, buzzers and motors. They even constructed their own switches out of paper clips and tin foil. They were then set a challenge, “make a new reindeer to help Father Christmas delivery presents on Christmas Eve”. They had to design and then construct a model reindeer using all the skills they'd recently learnt in science. Their reindeer needed to have a light up nose and even a tail that spins. The pupils have worked really hard on their models, testing all their problem solving skills, with some very pleasing results, and it is all their very own hard work.
