Year 6 were very excited last week when Mrs Hawkins, their maths teacher, introduced them to their new online maths resource – Abacus Active Learn. This resource can be logged on to in school or at home and gives the children the opportunity to consolidate and enhance their maths skills, using resources allocated to them by their teachers.
Milo said, “This is pretty cool!” Jessica added, “I really like this – it’s like Mathswhizz but better!”
In a similar way to Mathswhizz, the children earn rewards for their efforts and can spend them on various online Abacus activities.
Now the children are looking forward to logging on at home. And they were thrilled to hear that the website can be accessed on tablets and ipads!
