Year Two go to the Zoo

What an amazing day at the zoo we had!  The weather was absolutely perfect and we fitted so much into our day.  We began with a fantastic workshop about animals and their habitats and even got the opportunity to hold a giant snail. Next we toured the Trail of the Kings to spot gorillas, lions and tigers. After that we watched the 'Animal Antics Show' with meerkats, skunks and a pygmy goat. Then we headed for Zufari where we boarded safari vehicles and spotted giraffe, zebra, ostrich, flamingos and rhino!  The all important picnic lunch followed and next it was off to the Amazu rope maze playground.  After a quick look at the penguins and otters we headed to the sealife aquarium where we saw sting ray, sharks, jellyfish and more.  And finally, as if that wasn't enough, we ended our day seeing the lions being fed... what a sight!  The children behaved impeccably throughout and it truly was a day to remember.  Check out our many pics!
