It is essential that we seek to work with parents and value the contribution they make to their child’s education.

There is a strong and very important parent partnership at Weston Green and we acknowledge that parents/carers hold key information and have a critical role to play in their children’s education. They have unique knowledge and experience to contribute to a shared view of a child’s needs and the best way of supporting them. It is therefore essential that all professionals seek to work with parents and value the contribution they make to their child’s ongoing education.

We aim to:

  • Give teachers more information about the children they teach
  • Improve children’s achievement and self confidence
  • Support parents learning with their child at home
  • Help parents make correct choices for future schools
  • Help parents understand the assessment processes at the end of key stage 1 & 2
