We are thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievements of Year 4 pupils at Weston Green School, who recently completed their English Speaking Board (ESB) exams with outstanding success.

Inspiring Topics Chosen by Year 4 Pupils

Each child selected a subject they were genuinely passionate about, allowing them to speak with enthusiasm, clarity, and poise. The wide range of topics included:

  • British dressage

  • Pandemics throughout history

  • Ballet and dance

  • The human body and science

  • Transport for London

  • War and global history

  • Famous authors such as Roald Dahl

  • Flags and animals including frogs, pandas, cats, snow leopards, and horses

  • Sports including football, cricket, golf, netball, and Korean martial arts

  • Countries and cultures such as Jersey, America, Cape Town, and Singapore

Developing Public Speaking Skills at Weston Green

These speaking exams gave our Year 4 pupils the opportunity to demonstrate their curiosity and growing communication and public speaking skills. The examiners were full of praise for their thoughtful preparation and eloquent delivery.
