At Weston Green School, we are proud to include Latin as a key part of the curriculum. Research has shown that learning Latin provides children with the foundations for other subjects and results in higher academic achievements in other curriculum areas. It can help verbal, analytic and problem solving which translates into computing, maths and IT skills. Latin can help with facililate understanding other languages derived from it like French, English grammar, aswell as extending literacty skills and vocabulary which can be useful in Science. Naturally, it also provides exposure to ancient history and the Classics.
