About the WGSPA
Founded in 2012, The Weston Green School Parents’ Association (WGSPA) aims to develop and foster good relationships between parents, staff, and other individuals associated with the school through a variety of social and fundraising activities. The WGSPA plays a vital role in the school community, creating a strong bond among families and supporting the school’s mission.
All Weston Green parents are welcome to be members of the Parents’ Association, and participation is encouraged through regular committee meetings held throughout the year, including meetings with the Headteacher. These meetings provide a platform for parents to voice their ideas, contribute to decision-making, and stay informed about school developments.
Events
The WGSPA organises a wide range of events and activities throughout the year, allowing school families to socialize and raise money for various charities chosen by the Parents’ Association and the School Council, as well as for important school extras. These events foster a sense of community and engagement among families and staff.
Other recent WGSPA events and activities have included:
- Coffee mornings
- Fundraising sales of Christmas cards
- The Christmas Fair
- Movie Night
- Festive 5K/ Easter Hop
- Dare to be Different Day
- Summer Party
- The Summer Fair
- Provide refreshments at Sports Day
Currently, the WGSPA is in discussions with the school to consider the next significant project that the association can support for the benefit of all children at Weston Green. This collaborative approach ensures that the efforts of the Parents’ Association align with the needs and goals of the school, enhancing the overall educational experience for our children.
