Weston Green School were very proud to host the regional ISA London South Athletics meet at Walton Xcel on Thursday 18th of June. The event was attended by 23 schools with over 500 children competing in various running, jumping and throwing events. It was a fantastic day of sport with some phenomenal performances from many athletes.
A special mention to Naomi, Luana, Rafe and Freddie for qualifying in their heats to reach their event final in the afternoon – therefore finishing in the top 6 from over 40 athletes in their event. Sam and Rafe for silver in their respective age group boys throwing. Freddie for gold in long jump and Talia for gold in 600m and ball throw. Talia and Freddie have now qualified for the national final, so watch this space to see how they get on.
