Throughout the year Mrs.Hansraj, Head of Pastoral Care, conducts 1:1 pastoral meetings with the children, focusing on their holistic well-being and development. This term she has met with Y4 children. In these brief 5-10 minute sessions, she discussed three key questions:

  1. Accomplishments: Explored what the child was particularly proud of
  2. Concerns and Assistance: Addressed any concerns or areas where the child needed assistance
  3. Wishes: Imagine what the child would wish for if given the opportunity.

These sessions provide several benefits, including:

Enhanced Communication:

Facilitate open dialogue between Mrs. Hansraj and the children, fostering a deeper understanding of their thoughts and feelings.

Individualised Support:

Identifying specific accomplishments and challenges unique to each child, allowing for tailored support and guidance.

Emotional Well-being:

Contributing to the overall emotional well-being of the children by addressing concerns and encouraging positive reflections.

Mrs. Hansraj’s approach aims to create a supportive environment, offering valuable insights into each child’s needs and contributing to their overall growth and development.
