Interactive Workshop for Year 5 and 6 Girls
Following the morning session, Year 5 and 6 girls from Weston Green took part in an engaging workshop led by Andrew Hampton. The session encouraged open discussions, with thought-provoking questions that allowed the girls to reflect on their own experiences with friendships.
Teachers observed the session, gaining valuable insights into how ‘Girls on Board’ works in practice. This interactive approach enables girls to navigate friendship challenges independently while fostering empathy and mutual understanding.
A Commitment to Pastoral Care and Wellbeing
At Weston Green School, we are dedicated to equipping our students with essential life skills that extend beyond the classroom. ‘Girls on Board’ is an integral part of our pastoral programme, reinforcing our core values of ambition, curiosity, and kindness.
By embedding this approach into our PSHE curriculum, we ensure that girls feel supported in their friendships and develop key social and emotional skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. Events like these not only enhance our own school community but also contribute to a wider conversation on supporting girls’ friendships in schools.
