A Sunny Sunday of Strength, Spirit and Smiles
On Sunday 8 June, over 25 children from Weston Green School joined the vibrant community at the Surbiton Junior Parkrun in Alexandra Park for a fantastic morning of fitness, fun and family support. It was great to see our children from Little Prep through to Year 6 running the 2km course – with many proud parents and staff lining the route to cheer them on.
The sun was shining and the atmosphere was full of positive energy, as our pupils tackled the course with great enthusiasm and perseverance. It was heart-warming to see so many Weston Green families come out to support one another, with plenty of high-fives, smiles and encouragement shared along the way.
A big thank you to Mrs Wilson, Mrs Scallan and the lovely ParkRun organisers for coordinating and encouraging the children to take part.
The Junior Parkrun is a brilliant way to build physical stamina and mental strength in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Whether children ran, jogged or walked, it was the positive attitude and determination that truly made the morning special. The results from the run can be seen here.
A huge well done to all who took part and thank you to all the families and staff who joined us!
