Children across the school have been busy learning about harvest and preparing songs and readings to present to their parents.
Reception have been pumpkin picking at Garson Farm and Kindergarten have been learning about the work of the farmer at this important time of year. Their gifts of fruit and vegetables will be sent to the kitchens at the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher. KS1 are collecting items for patients who attend the day hospice at Princess Alice.
The older pupils in KS2 have focused on what we can do to help others. They have learned about the work of the East Elmbridge Foodbank, to whom they are sending their harvest gifts, and understanding that even in our local area there are families who need help in order to have enough to eat each week.
We are, as always, very grateful to the Weston Green community for wholeheartedly supporting the children in donating food and other goods for the charities.
