Reception visit Bocketts Farm

On Tuesday, 15th March, Reception went on their long-awaited trip to Bocketts Farm.  It was a beautiful Spring morning  and the children were filled with excitement especially as they boarded Danny’s new coach.

As we arrived at the farm we were greeted by friendly staff members who gave the children a safety talk and informed us of our morning’s program.  Firstly, we were taken to the barn and saw a goat being milked.  The children then had an opportunity to stroke a Polish Hen, a rabbit and two guinea pigs.

We then moved on further and saw the larger animals including the horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, cows and a mother pig with her eleven piglets.

After this the children were taken on a tractor-trailer ride around the farm.   They saw many animals out in the fields and had the opportunity to admire the beautiful Surrey Hills!

The morning concluded with a delicious picnic lunch, a quick play in the Play Barn and then watching the well-known Bocketts Farm PIG RACE which brought much excitement to the children and adults!
