A Wonderful Term

Posted: 14th December 2022

Now the holidays have begun, it is good to reflect on the busy-ness of this term and the many achievements throughout. Having had the pleasure of seeing all 3 of our wonderful Christmas performances last week, the children have each shown such confidence and enjoyment and have been impressive in the way they have collaborated, worked hard but also enjoyed the idea of performing to an audience!

This has been a term full of impressive moments like these, where children have demonstrated their achievements and their wonderful attitudes to learning, their growing independence and sense of responsibility at all stages and ages, their focus on caring for each other, commitment towards making a difference, but above all their enjoyment in learning and getting the most out of life at school.

School Priorities

We hope you have enjoyed understanding more about what is happening across the school this term. Our priority this year is to demonstrate more the achievements of our school and the academic excellence and opportunities for enrichment your children gain throughout their days in school. We have held several parent workshops this term demonstrating what and how we teach certain areas of our bespoke curriculum, such as maths, phonics and reading, and e safety. This has been complimented by the regular “A glimpse into…” insights in the weekly bulletin, which highlights core aspects of our rich and diverse curriculum. Our Future Schools evening again was well attended, just one part of the programme which guides you and your child successfully towards the right onward schools at 11+.

Equally we have made a number of changes to the ways in which we communicate and involve you in school life too. A revamped Weekly Bulletin provides even more information on the daily life of school, complimented by the half termly newsletter. You will also have noticed our improved social media presence too which showcases the incredible variety of daily experiences our children enjoy. Thank you to all of you for responding to these and increasingly sharing our posts more widely too!

If you would like more detail on these and the scope of our School Priority this year then please follow the link here.

It has been a busy and wonderful term, but we, or the children, wouldn’t have it any other way. To watch our children grasping the many opportunities laid out before them, and learning and growing so much as a result, is all we can wish for.

May I take this opportunity to thank each and every family for their support throughout this year and on behalf of the children and the staff we wish you a very happy and peaceful Christmas.
